Texas-based CPA firm appoints additional leadership from among ranks
Desroches Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of three new partners to the firm, all of whom have been promoted from among team members. Lauren Cummings will be lending her abilities to help lead the Houston office’s Audit department. Tony DeYoung and Aaron McPhie have been leading the Dallas office as principals in Tax and Financial Advisory. “One of our ongoing objectives is to invest in the growth of the firm, and that doesn’t just mean our business, but most importantly our people,” said Managing Partner Harvin Lawhon. “As we bring up our people to take on more leadership duties, we’re also able to leverage their talents to enhance both the type and quality of services we can offer to our clients.”
Lauren started with the firm in October 2013 as a staff member in the audit practice, and until now has been serving as Senior Audit Manager. “From day one, Lauren has been an instrumental part of growing and cultivating the audit department,” said Lawhon. “She has poured her heart and soul into growing this firm and I have enjoyed watching her growth and development over nearly a decade. I am extremely proud of her, and honored to welcome her as a fellow partner.”
Tony and Aaron joined Desroches Partners in October 2020 as founders of the Dallas office. With backgrounds in tax and financial advisory, they’ve been instrumental both in expanding the firm’s reach to the North Texas market, and in enhancing service in the Houston area. “From the moment they joined the firm, Tony and Aaron have immersed themselves in the firm and our culture. They’ve done an amazing job growing the Dallas office; the results speak for themselves. But they’ve also been instrumental in cultivating our client base and our staff in Houston. I am truly grateful for their efforts and excited to welcome this dynamic duo into the partner ranks.”
