Senior Audit Manager CPA

As Senior Audit Manager with Desroches Partners, Alex is responsible for planning and executing financial audits and reviews for clients. She also manages the firm’s 401(k) Audit Practice. Working closely with clients, delegating responsibilities, and developing her staff are significant portions of her day-to-day activities.

Alex began her career in accounting as an intern with Desroches Partners. Her interest in Accounting stemmed from long-cultivated analytical skills, and a consultative interpersonal style. With a keen interest in business operations, Audit stood out as a particularly interesting discipline. Alex thoroughly enjoys the continued learning and constant problem solving her career offers. In addition to the technical aspects of her job, she’s highly personable, and enjoys being a mentor to her team.

A native of Houston, Alex spent much of her childhood in Mexico. She attended the University of Houston for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees, ultimately earning a Master’s of Science in Accountancy with a focus on Assurance and Finance Reporting.

Outside of work, Alex invests her time in her hobbies: drawing, painting, and home décor. She also enjoys the company of her family, friends, and her Labradoodle, Bacon.
